2/1/2024 0 Comments Plexamp chromecastStreaming apps give us a wholly elegant solution but with one crucial gotcha: what of those albums, EPs or alternative masters that aren’t covered by streaming services? I’d peg at least 20% of my own FLAC collection as unavailable on Tidal or Qobuz. And if we don’t wish to chew through our phone plan’s monthly data allowance, we can choose to offline albums with a single click. MacOS’ Finder says that’s almost 3TB of data.īut how do we listen to this same music outside of the house in CD quality? Tidal or Qobuz will independently cover most of it. My FLAC library of downloads and CD rips, according to Roon, comprises 8000 albums and EPs. Much of an audiophile’s music listening is done at home, an ever-expanding library of digital files laying the foundation to streaming. FFS!ĮDIT: I've just downloaded Foobar2000 and if that doesn't work then I'm just gonna have to buy another Bluesound as the bugs are driving me to frustration.Streetlife. The Bluesound might cost a whole lot more than my CCA did but it does gapless as standard and playback is rock solid so unless I can figure out what's going on when it comes to getting reliable and gapless playback when I'm casting to my CCA, then I'm probably gonna have to bite the bullet and buy another Bluesound as it just works. It was the issue of gapless playback and connection reliability that made me buy a Bluesound Node 2i a year or two ago and now that I've got a banging bedroom system, I'm beginning to think I might just have to buy another one for this system as well. Fwiw, I'm not talking about brief drop outs, I mean connection compltely cuts out and the app needs to be closed and started again. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I might well be getting gapless playback when casting from my Android device running USB Audio Player Pro, but now that app is dropping connection sometimes as well. Well done, Xanthe, over at Naim Forums for figuring it out and lfor etting the people know how to do it (the post was actually from October last year)! I can't seem to be able to achieve gapless playback it from my Macbook Air, and I haven't tried to achieve it from a Windows platform.įwiw, I've read lots and lots of pages on the web over the years hoping to find a solution to get gapless playback on my CCA but the post I read this morning is the first and only one I've ever come across stating that CCA does support gapless playback (without having to utilise third-party workarounds) and that this is the way to do it. I should add, I ran into problems when I tried using an old Android device whereby the Google Home app is limited to an old, unsupported version (version 2.29.1.7) the version on my other Android device (version 2.32.1.5) works perfectly. I've tested this with PLEX and Poweramp and both options work fine. The solution is simple: initiate casting via the Google Home app first then open your media player and play music - it's that simple! For years I've been using the PLEX app to cast to my CCA and for years (or for some time at least) I've been missing out on gapless playback. One of the key missing jigsaw pieces in my streaming setup is finally missing no more: Chromecast Audio supports gapless playback, and apparently, it has done for time!

For instance, in our Gamification sample we have one score that counts the successful shots you took and another one that refers to your "health": One increases with the targets you shoot and the other decreases with hits you are taking from your opponents. You can integrate one or several separate scores to measure different capabilities at a time. Depending on the answer, you can open one quiz card or another, essentially creating a conditional question tree. Every answer selected by the "player" can lead to its own unique action – This way, you can take a student to one window or another (depending on his or her answer) with, say a video that explains why his answer was correct (or incorrect). You, as the author of the tour, can decide whether a question should add or deduct points from the user's score. Apart from questions and answers (simple questions or multiple choice) a quiz card can carry all kinds of media, including video, photos, 360º videos, panoramas or 3D models. They can also be conditioned on a previous action (think of having discovered a hidden hazard in the scene, which will subsequently pop up the quiz card that asks to specify the hazard). The whole shebang would take only 48 hours. Then if things continued to go exceedingly well, I would find myself back on an airplane Sunday afternoon landing in Los Angeles. Then on Sunday morning I would be down toward Dallas seeing some UTV racing at one of the better UTV race facilities in the country. If all went according to plan, I would be trackchasing on Saturday afternoon in West Virginia. P&G has their headquarters in Cincinnati. You might remember that I am retired from the Procter & Gamble Distributing Company. flight that would take me to Cincinnati, Ohio. If I don’t fly any more this year for racing you can bet I’ll be out on an ice track somewhere in January braving the elements and having the time of my life.įollowing a Friday night dinner with Carol at one of our favorite little Mexican eateries in San Clemente I headed up to the Los Angeles International Airport. Add all of that to the fact that racing will pretty well shut down, but not completely, from this point through the end of the year. We have lots of relatives visiting during the holidays. I’ve got a big trip to Boston where I’ll be taking Carol to celebrate her birthday. I’m not apologizing for my lack of travel…just explaining.įor the remaining six or seven weekends of the year I’ve got UCLA football scheduled two more times. Another four weeks went toward UCLA football. I took six weeks off for Covid while I waited to get my vaccines. It is true that I have had 31 flying trackchasing trips this year. There’s a good chance this will be the last weekend that I will use an airplane to trackchase during my 2021 trackchasing season. What could I do in 48 hours? How far could I travel in 48 hours? I was just about ready to test the limits as I tried to answer those questions. If you’ve got a question, comment or whatever please leave it at the bottom of this report. If you’re interested in looking back and seeing where I’ve been the following link is for you. I don’t mind admitting I am addicted to the hobby of trackchasing. As you discover what went on at this track just think about the idea that I’ve done this more than 2,700 times. Now I encourage you to drop down a few spaces and read about today’s trackchasing adventure. My website gets more than 20,000 views every month.īecause I have seen racing in 85 countries at this point I am considered the World’s #1 Trackchaser. My YouTube channel (ranlay) has more than 1.3 million views. and the world I recommend you click on this link.Īfter each and every event that I attend I post a YouTube video, a SmugMug photo album and a very detailed Trackchaser Report about the experience on my website at My trackchasing contributions generate a good deal of interest in what I am doing. If you’re interested in exactly what I’ve been able to experience all around the U.S. I’ve been able to see the world doing this. Finally, I want to create a logistical plan that allows me to accomplish the two points mentioned above without depleting my retirement account. Those visits in many cases will provide more long-lasting memories than whatever I saw on the track. I want to take some time to see the local attractions of wherever I might be visiting. The very last thing I want when I’m done trackchasing is to have memories of only racing. When I venture out to see a race at a track I’ve never seen before I do not want my trip limited to racing only. Secondly, my hobby requires a good deal of overnight travel. Trackchasing for me is all about three things. Have you ever in your life heard of “trackchasing”? I didn’t think so. My name is Randy Lewis (above with Bosnia’s #1 race car driver Boris Miljevic). Covid is in the rearview mirror and getting smaller every day. Fair enough? Now get out there and go somewhere. How does that work? I tell you how I travel and then you get to decide if that’s a good idea for you. Editor’s note: How far can a trackchaser travel in 48 hours? I was testing the limits with this trip…but I was pretty sure I could pull it off. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Keyscape keygen r2rSince these instruments can be easily transformed into amazing “unreal” sounds with the powerful STEAM Engine® under the hood, Keyscape easily turns these coveted instruments from History into innovative new sounds of the Future. Then, mount the raceway base to the wall with screws according to the manufacturer’s instructions, lay the TV cords inside the channel, and snap the cover in place over the top. In the case of the Cable Raceway, you’ll cut the base and top of the cord cover using a hacksaw. While the first set played with themes of death and politics, the second set embodied them. Bob’s voice-and frame-emanated through the amphitheater with unbridled strength as he emphasized each syllable and put a bow on the set with the mention of “the darkness never goes from some men’s eyes,” bookending what he started in the set opening “Shakedown Street.” While the band’s pace can be called into question, especially the off-tempo “Bertha,” the band chugged along and lost no momentum as Weir strapped on his acoustic guitar for a bouncy “Friend of the Devil.” The acoustic fit right into the electric madness and perfected the sweet yet sad ballad of “Peggy-O,” our second foray into the imaginary word of Robert Hunter’s Fennario.Īn amazing jam between Mayer and pianist Jeff Chimenti rocketed “Cumberland Blues” into the stratosphere, before Weir howled his not so subtle stab at political ethos in “Throwing Stones” to conclude the first set. The set continued to dive into the Dead’s American songbook, with a fully integrated John Mayer taking the reins of the fantasy-laden “Dire Wolf” before Bob Weir revved into “Hell in a Bucket,” another ode to crumbling societal norms that feels as proper now as it did in the late eighties. You couldn’t help but sniff the subtle jabs to the establishment in the shadows of our nation’s capital.Ī brutally hot afternoon on Shakedown Street-the carnival-like shantytown of vendors hawking everything from tie-dye shirts to garlic salt dusted grilled cheese-saw crowds in high spirits with sweat-soaked clothing but spirits not dampened.Īs the sun dipped behind the high arching pavilion, shielding the massive grass lawn from the never-ending heat, the band took the stage and lit into “Shakedown Street.” With the crowd singing along to imagery of darkness swallowing a once prosperous and possibly metaphorical town, it was hard not to decipher a deteriorating political landscape twenty miles down the road. Wednesday night at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, Dead & Company roared through two sets of tunes fixated on death and poetic justice. That’s not to say that their lyrics don’t touch on the thematic landscape of America’s political woes, but like poetry (and beauty), interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. While no friend to the corporate establishment or a cog in the government machine, the band left the protest songs to musicians such as Bob Dylan. Despite their emergence in the mid-sixties at the height of the counterculture era, the Grateful Dead were never considered an overtly political act. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Nuclear throne auto aimThe Recycle Gland mutation doesn't work with these weapons, but Shotgun Shoulders does.
